Our Story

Robert Lawrence has been painting for more than two decades. Like a lot of working artists, he built his early following on the big online marketplaces, one canvas at a time.

Then the search results changed.

A growing share of the Black art sold online today isn't created by artists at all. Listings filled with generated images. Faces of no one, made by no one, earning money for someone with no stake in the story. Real painters were suddenly competing with a slot machine.

Robert's answer wasn't to leave the internet. It was to build a better room in it.

A studio, not a storefront

Noirci Studio is deliberately an independent brand rather than a personal storefront. Robert is the founder and one of the artists on the platform, and the company is meant to be the trusted front door: a place where a collector never has to wonder whether a person made the work.

That promise is structural, not decorative. Every piece here passes a published verification standard. Every work carries its provenance. Every artist is named and vetted. The studio handles production, marketing, and fulfillment. Artists earn a 30 percent royalty on every sale, paid monthly.

What we believe

Authorship should be evident, not assumed. The presence of a real artist behind each work must be visible, verifiable, and central to the value of the piece.

An honest market benefits everyone. We're not against technology. We're against misrepresentation. AI should compete as what it is, and paintings should compete as what they are.

The $200 collector deserves what the $200,000 collector gets. Documented origin, named authorship, and a piece that means something because someone meant it.

Where we are

Noirci Studio operates from Plano, Texas, with production at three facilities across the United States and free shipping to all 50 states. The work is real, the artists are named, and the record is public.
