How We Verify Art

The question of authorship shouldn't be left to interpretation. It should be evident from the moment a buyer encounters the work. That principle drives everything below.

Before any piece appears on Noirci Studio, it passes four checks. All four. There are no exceptions and no fast lanes.

1. A named artist

Every piece is tied to an identified, named artist. Not a brand name, not a storefront alias, not a design team. A person whose authorship can be clearly identified and traced. The artist's name appears with the work everywhere it is shown.

2. A traceable portfolio

A single good image proves nothing. A body of work does. We confirm that each artist has a documented portfolio developed over time, with visible attribution and a consistent artistic voice. Buyers can review that history alongside any piece.

3. An original behind every print

Prints are honest products when an original exists behind them. Before we list any print, we confirm the original work it reproduces. A print on Noirci Studio is always a reproduction of a real painting by a real person, never a generated file sent straight to a printer.

4. Production transparency

Materials and methods are essential information, not fine print. Each listing describes how the work was made and how the print is produced, including the substrate, the printing process, and where fulfillment happens. Our prints are produced at three facilities in the United States.

Our position on AI generated imagery

We're direct about this because most marketplaces are not.

  • Every work sold on Noirci Studio is created by a named human artist.
  • AI generated artwork is not accepted. A generated image with no artist behind it does not pass check one, and it never will.
  • If an artist uses digital tools, including AI assisted tools, anywhere in their workflow, that use must be disclosed to us during vetting and reflected in the listing's production notes.
  • We verify, not just trust. Every image submitted for print is screened with AI detection tools that analyze it for the technical signatures generated imagery leaves behind. A file that shows signs of AI generation does not go to print, full stop.
  • We support clear labeling of AI generated imagery across the industry. AI should compete as what it is, and paintings should compete as what they are. An honest market benefits everyone.

How vetting works

Artists are admitted through a review designed to ensure consistent standards of authorship and originality. In plain terms, we confirm the person is who they say they are, the portfolio is theirs, and the originals exist. The full eligibility criteria are published on Our Artists.

Once an artist is onboarded, the studio manages marketing, fulfillment, and customer service. Artists earn a 30 percent royalty on every sale, paid monthly.

Questions collectors ask

Does Noirci Studio sell AI generated art?

No. Every work is created by a named human artist with a documented portfolio, and every print is backed by a confirmed original painting. Every print file is also screened with AI detection tools before production; files showing signs of AI generation are rejected.

What does Noirci Studio check before listing a work?

Four things: a named artist, a traceable portfolio developed over time, a confirmed original behind any print, and full transparency about materials and production methods.

Can artists on Noirci Studio use digital tools?

Yes, with disclosure. Any use of digital or AI assisted tools in the workflow must be declared during vetting and reflected in the listing. Fully AI generated works are not accepted.
